Blue Jefferson is the membership arm of the Democratic organization within Jefferson County, West Virginia. We coordinate our work with the Jefferson County Democratic Executive Committee (JCDEC) and the Jefferson County Democratic Women’s Club (JCDWC).

As more people move into our community, we’re experiencing rapid growth—and with it, growing pains. Long-held traditions are being tested, and we must decide what’s essential to preserve while thoughtfully shaping what comes next. These choices shouldn’t be left solely to developers. They require broad, inclusive input—and Democratic leadership—to help strike the right balance. We particularly focus on:

Everyone in Jefferson County, WV deserves the chance to thrive. Pursuing happiness means more than just getting by—it means financial security for children, working adults, and retirees alike. It means having access to the resources that make life enjoyable, not just survivable.
OUR VOTES, OUR VOICES
Too many voices in our community are being overlooked under single-party control of local and state government. To protect fair representation, we must safeguard the democratic (small “d”) processes that ensure every vote counts—and every voice is heard.
OUR CITIZENS’ SECURITY
The well-being of our community is too often sidelined by those in power. When development is unbalanced and unchecked, it puts our safety, health, and quality of life at risk. We need leadership that prioritizes people over profit.
